50 km Queensport Light

This is our favorite ride, 25 km each way out and back of rolling hills along the deep blue waters of Chedabucto Bay. Biggest hill is 225 feet with several really long coaster rides. Wheeee! Head to Queensport for a picture of Nova Scotia’s second most photographed lighthouse. A hundred years ago, the harbour was often full of Grand Banks schooners getting fresh bait at the Matthews and Scott wharf. Today, it’s becoming home to a pleasing mix of new and restored vacation homes.

The same Highway 16 route takes you back to Guysborough along the Chignecto-Chedabucto Faultline. Take your time on those hills, it’s not a race and you might spot whales, porpoises and tuna feeding on plentiful schools of migrating mackerel. We’ll have hot showers, great food, craft beer and live music waiting for your return.
