We’re a little off the beaten path and accommodations are somewhat limited. Please check out visitguysborough.ca or www.municipality.guysborough.ns.ca for options. The next step is to call Elaine Shanks at Pepperlane Manor Bed and Breakfast 902-533-1884. Elaine keeps a list of local residents who can spare a room in their home for a reasonable rate. It’s a fun way to experience some local flavour and make new friends.
There is camping available at Boylston Provincial Park and private campgrounds in Fox Island and Canso. For no-cost dry camping or overnight parking options, call Fraser Cook at Robins Gas Bar 902-533-2993. If you find one of the municipal parks with a porta-pottie, it’s okay to just park overnight, no officer will bother you. You’re in Guysborough and things like that are okay. We even had a couple of tents at the event site last year.
