Getting to Guysborough

The train never did get to Guysborough, you’ll have to drive or come by boat.

Take the Trans Canada 104 to exit 37.  The all-new 4 lane Antigonish bypass makes it much easier than last year for those coming from Halifax or Truro. As you get off the highway from either direction, turn left at the stop sign and take Highway 4 for 1.5 km and turn right onto Highway 16 at the firehall. If you crossed the railway tracks, turn around and go back and turn at the firehall.

Take 16 for 31 km through Lincolnville and Boylston and you’ll find yourself in beautiful Guysborough. Highway 16 does a bit of a zig zag with 2 rights and then a left at the Courthouse Museum and the event site is just ahead on your left.  Please do not park on the highway. We’ll have greeters waiting at the entrance to the event site to answer all your questions.

Coming by boat? We have a great marina. That’s how I met Bernie Sanders back in 2009.
